Mel Burns Ford
In 1967 Mel Burns Ford occupied both sides of Long Beach Boulevard in Long Beach California. Along the east side was the new care showroom, and the A-1 Used Car lot and the Ford Motor Sport Dealer were along the west side. Mel Burns Ford was an authorized dealer of Shelby American. "Buy Where The Racers Buy" was the advertising tag line.
Automotive Artist David Snyder creates a scene typical to Mel Burns Ford in 1967. The Shelby Mustang 427 "Super Snake" is one of several high performance Fords sold by Mel Burns Ford. The Mustang was built by Shelby American to perform high speed tire tests for Firestone. It was purchased by Mel Burns in anticipation of building 50 "Super Snakes" for public consumption.
The painting "Mel Burns Ford" has been reproduced to only 500 limited edition prints and 50 artist proofs. The prints and artist proofs are hand signed and numbered by Dave and measure 17.5" x 26", printed on high quality acid free stock trimmed to 22" x 28".
